Griot's Eye was founded in 1998 with a mission to use the power of graphics and rapid visualization to assist organizations in telling their stories. Whether those stories are told via a meeting dialogue, conference Q&A session, or speaker presentation, Griot's Eye unites words, images, and symbols into a powerful, insightful, and memorable illustrated story.
As an early adopter and innovator in the graphic facilitation profession, Griot’s Eye was instrumental in its development and growing popularity. With over 20 years of experience and clients including Google, Disney, Nestle, NPR, and NEA (to name a few), Griot’s Eye is a clear choice for those looking for an unparalleled and exceptional experience.
A griot is a West African historian, storyteller, praise singer, poet, or musician. They are seen as a repository of cultural tradition and as a leader due to their position as an advisor to royalty. With such a unique brand story, a challenge presented itself in bringing this strength to the forefront of the brand as an asset that communicates its relevance. To do so, a literal interpretation of the eye was chosen to represent the visual identity for its historical context and technical proposition within graphic facilitation.
To represent the brand, a red and purple color palette was chosen to express the imagination and brightness of an experienced creative while showing the sophistication and nuance of the craft.
